THE IGLOO

The Igloo is our College Bar here at John Snow. During the day, it is used by our students as a study and social space. It's also a place where societies meet and where we hold many college and JCR led events.  In the evenings, the bar serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as a selection of food. The Igloo is also home to the JCR's pub quiz , two pool tables and our famous dartboards!

Hi, I’m Matthew, and I’ll be your Bar Steward this year! My role is to keep the amazing Igloo running smoothly, from organising staff rotas and ordering stock to making sure the bar is ready for all your favourite events. Alongside George, our Assistant Bar Steward, I also get to work on the fun side of things, including running our Instagram, creating new cocktails, and working with the ENTS Committee to put on great events throughout the year.

Hey I’m George, a second year Psychology student and your Assistant Bar Steward this year! My role is to help our amazing Bar Steward Matthew in the day to day running of the Igloo in any and every way possible. If I’m not behind the bar you’ll almost certainly see me on the other side of it playing darts. The Igloo was such a key part of my freshers year and I can’t wait to see everyone down there!
